Re: Sesquicentennial event at Fort Donelson February 10-12 2012.

Having done Federal living history there during the 90's with my Pickett's Mill and Mudsill pards, I would welcome the opportunity to do CS there to the same level. (I sponsored a march from Henry to Donelson one year.) I also spent 2.5 years working at LBL, so I can definitely say that the weather can be any and everything. I hope to attend this.

Any room for the Navy at the Union camp? Don't want to interfere with the immersion. Sorry for the complete lack of gunboats.

Just a bump for all interested to keep on their radar. Jerry and I had a meeting this past weekend and discussed this event in depth. We have some great things planned and are working out the details now. If accomplished, it will be something that all will remember. Stay tuned......

Great to hear John! Was looking forward to hearing more about this. I hope I am in a comfortable enough place at that time to be able to attend.

I certainly enjoyed the LH we had there a few years ago despite the cold etc. I will certainly enjoy returning for another round.

                        Hello all,
We now have two wagons (a four mule team and two mule team) to help carry tents from Friday's camp site to Saturday's. Thank you Kaelin Vernon and Ronnie Tucker! The Confederate Column marching into Fort Donelson will look awesome.
Please remember this event will be in February. It can be cold, wet, snowing or warm all in the same weekend.

I do not have a chance to do many EBUFU events, but I would like to start doing more. I very much enjoyed the Vicksburg LH a couple of years ago, and last year's LH at Wilson's Creek with the Iowa boys, I would love to attend something of this nature. I will keep my eye out for registration.

                            Just FYI -

I have been in a series of meetings last week, this week, and one the very first part of Sept with the NPS and USFS. Jerry is drafting the event guidlines and registration and should have it out very soon. Jerry and I are hosting another event this weekend at FODO park, and once its over, we will be moving quickly into the Feb event.

Should be a great time -

                              - Just a bump - but I will be having a meeting to finalize the details on the 7th - look for the final communication on guidlines and registration for this event to open on the 8th or 9th. This will be an event to remember - as over half the event will be total submersion with a very unique experience.
