I don't care what you've done to this point, this is official as of the time stamp on the bottom of this post - look at the edited date and time at the bottom of my post. This list is now FINAL and no new registrations will be accepted. There are a few of you who only got part of your registration in and you did NOT get registered. Those names are listed at the bottom of this post. Craddock and I had a cut off of May 23rd for this regiment, but worked until May 30th to try to get in as many as possible. Now we have to send the list to the event to get the last batch of names in on time. I will try to post a list by company.

I spoke with a member of the USV staff today and I have been informed that there are around 12,000 registered for the 150th to date they are to cut off registration at 15,000. Please pass this on to all reenactors and stress that if their desire is to attend to get registered asap.

Craddock and I meet Sunday to update our registered list and send to the official event our forms and a check. This will register approximately 100 of us that are actually in. All company commanders must push your men to register ASAP. PUSH, PUSH, PUSH! Call your pards and get them to move it! After this weekend, we will batch send further registrations as they come in. But men must register for us to send them in. Thanks for the post Galen!

I just spoke to Noreen (the horses mouth so to speak) who is handling registrations at the Manassas Convention and Visitor's Bureau. She said that there are actually 4000 appx registered, and they are capping it at 10,000 not 15,000. She was "excited" to learn of the 100 coming in together. I assured her, it is just data entry!

She said that registration closes June 1st, 2011 and no forms post marked after that date will be accepted.

So, as Matt said...get them in boys!!

Oh, BTW...each particpant will receive communication with a registration # via e-mail or snail mail.

If you plan on attending the 150th Manassas as part of 2d Mississippi, please send in those registrations!

The QM Dept. needs to start to finalize numbers, food vendors, and supplies for the battalion. And since we are looking at such a large number of people, I need to give my suppliers enough time to get their job done.

Craddock and I meet tonight. I have 133 registrations, but some are partial meaning we have form and no payment or vice versa. So we can only send in the fully paid and completed forms. It will be about 120 depending on what comes in today. We have notified the few that have an issue. They have been coming fast the past few days so telling your pards is working. DO IT AGAIN! It's working. PUSH! Our regiment is going to be awesome!

I will post an updated list of the "sent in" registrations this week. You must be on this list to be registered. If you don't see your name, there IS a problem. Contact me at RMWoodburn [at] aol.com or Pat Craddock at craddock64 [at] aol.com. Wait until the updated list is posted.

I just updated the list. Craddock sends the first 119 to the event this week. The word from Galen Wagner who spoke to the event, says they have about 4000 registered as of March 9th of the new allowance of 10,000. This is down from the original allowance of 15,000. It doesn't affect us as you need to tell your pards to register soon. We'll send in batches of registrations regularly, but the event says they must be postmarked from us by May 31st. That is only 77 days from today. Don't wait to the last minute if you can avoid it. I don't want anyone to miss this opener of the 150ths because they waited too long.

Would it be possible to see another updated registration list?
Particularly as Mr. Wagner found the big 150th list with all the heaps of names although I wasn't sure I saw too many familiar names from either my unit or the 2nd Mississippi as a whole...

You can search for any name at the top of the big list int he search field. I searched 2nd Mississippi and found 137 names with about 18 being from a 2nd Mississippi Co F.

I assume the rest are our Regiment.
