Get in touch with our sister group, the Liberty Guards Mess. They might be able to help you out. Link: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Libert...46521865394982Jason C. Spellman

The 48th NY is a campaigner group that has members out of Orlando, Jacksonville, and Savannah. We do a campaigner adjunct at Olustee every year, along with a couple smaller LH events. The rest of our events are across the SE. Send me an email at bkylehand@yahoo.com and I will send you our schedule of events.Last edited by Brandon; 05-09-2011, 07:54 AM.-Brandon Hand

Re: 'Progressive' Events In Florida?
The pickings are quite slim in Florida, but the earlier advice is good about the Liberty Guards Mess and the 48th NY, as well as any of the units and messes in SCAR. There are quite a few individual campaigners in Florida, but most of the time we have to travel out of state and meet up with pards from other units.Ross L. Lamoreaux

Re: 'Progressive' Events In Florida?
Carl,
That issue has been addressed by mod's. Dispatch's last post was in the thread, "Cressets Used During The Civil War?" on date of 6-02-2011 at 12:24 PM. A seven day timeout was imposed upon Dispatch by mod's for said individual's attitude in response to the same question you asked. A plan was discussed by mod's should there be any further noncompliance by Dispatch.
To say it in a nonlawyer's voice, "Dude, we noticed, too. We've got it handled".
My thanks for asking in public, Carl, the same question we asked in private. It was a nice reminder of the situation.Silas Tackitt,
