  • Charter Bus for Shiloh

I am working on a charter bus for Shiloh. This would be for the color company and color guard. We would accept others but Co.C gets first crack at it.

We need to have at least 40 people sign up. Cost would be $115.72 and add to that $5.00 for Iowa Flag Preservation to a total cost of $120.72

Please PM if you are interested!

When would we have to give them the final word and get the money to them?

You realize that bus will smell like death warmed over by the time the return trip is over.

The bus would leave from Iowa City and a couple of other points but we do have guys who live in Des Moines that are going with us. So maybe you could ride over with one of them. I am still in the working stages and won't know particulars until next week.

I think with some of the guys going the smell will be there on the way down too!

15th Iowa Company C and Color Guard Charter Buss
            Windstar Tours
Bus will leave Iowa City at 7:00 PM March 29th.
I am working out the all the details with when and where we will stop.
Will return to Iowa City late Sunday early Monday April 1st or 2nd.
We will also tour the Shiloh Battlefield early Friday morning.
I figured the cost with having 40 men sign up. 40 is the magic number.
            Each person will pay $125.00.

            Breakdown of cost:
            1. Total Cost is $4779.00 for 47 passenger bus.
            2. Provide two night hotel stay for bus drive $150.00 total
            3. I added a gas surcharge of $5.00. If gas prices continue to go down we may get this money back. But who knows by March!
            4. Each man will pay $125.00 by February 17th.
            5. NO REFUNDS!
