Gentlemen,
Here are some of the details regarding the arrival of the Regiment to the event. I have attached the map of the site and this denotes the 2nd Mississippi camp site. Bottom line i am being told that from registration area we are the furthest point away in the Northwest corner of the site. We will be camped in a wooded area away from the "other attendees".
Those who would like to participate in the pre-drill may do so. This is going to take place weds through friday am. If you are planning on arriving earlier than Weds, Ie need a place to stay tues, please let me know and I will see what i can do. I imagine that there will be little making this request, but you never know. This should accommodate those early arrivals.
Those who are coming in Thur evening, may also head to the event site, but i am encouraging as many as possible to arriving before friday to come to Sky meadows. Bottomline registration will open on thur evening at the site.
For Friday- All those at sky meadows will begin to move to the event site at their leadership discretion, and those who are arriving will filter into the site. My preference is that all are on site for a regimental drill at 6pm.
Timeline- there are many gaps that need to be filled that will be edited and pushed based on Brigade input.
Weds- 0900 Park opens (those wishing to stay tues need to let me know)
Weds- 0900-1700 open drill
Thur- 0900 park opens 0900-1700 open drill
Friday- 0900 Regimental HQ is operational at Manassas Camp
Friday- 0900 SGT Maj/Regimental QM sets up camp establishes company Areas and boundaries
Friday- no later than 6PM all companies are accounted for or commanders are aware of late arrivals.
Friday- 8 PM key leadership meeting to discuss outcome of Brigade meeting (this may be adjusted)
Sat- 0600 reveille/ Breakfast
Sat- 0700 formation
Sat- 0730 Movement of Brigade to scenario site.
Sat- Schedule TBD
Sun-0600 Reveille/ Breakfast
Sun-0700 Regimental Formation
Sun-0730 Brigade movement
