This past Saturday June 18 from 9:00a.m.-2:30p.m. those that had experessed interest in portraying Shaker's for the event Perilous Times met at South Union Shaker Village. 17 folks were in attendance.
A very productive meeting that included:
-History & Background of South Union, the Shaker's, Regional history
-Group reading of Eldress Nancy Moore's journal 1861
-Resources, images, artifacts,
-Impressions/Roles
-Clothing of the Shaker's(exceptable vs. unexceptable)
-Event plans
-tour of the site

I will tell you, if you enjoyed the events at Westville or living history villages like Perryville or if you have ever had the chance to attend an event put on by the South Union Guard. Perilous Times is going to be a great event to be at.
