I just sent out a mailer to those who have registered as a Texan for the event. If you did not receive an email from me, and you believe to have registered please let me know.

[HOUSTON] TRI-WEEKLY TELEGRAPH, October 28, 1863,
Wanted.
All ladies in Houston and surrounding counties who have cloth on hand, which they can spare, are requested to donate it to the ladies of Crockett for the purpose of making petticoats for the Minute Men of this county, who have "backed out" of the service. We think the petticoat more suitable for them in these times.
Ron,
What years are you interested in? Right now I have a week long BGR/IPW style Sibley Campaign event in its infancy, I won't go into any more details until I have something concrete. We (https://sites.google.com/site/texasfrontierbrigade/home) have several LHs in the works interpreting the 21st and 31st brigades of Texas State Troops, and some earlier (1850s and Republic era) events in the next year or so on isolated lands in the Texas Hill Country.

I'm really interested in attending an event for the Texas State troops or Frontier Batallions, but the earlier events sound great too. I should have my kit together by the Spring of 2012. Some of my ancestors from Jack County served in the Frontier Batallions, keeping the frontier save from hostiles.
