Skirmish On John's Island, (SOJI) Invite Only April 20-22, 2011, South Carolina

We are hosting a tactical event at John's Island, this will be by invitation only. Real time campaigner tactical near the Stono River on 300 acres. Message me on the AC or at gdeese@carolina-rifles.org. This property has been secured for the weekend and insurance purchased. Standards will be early war, SC/US Infantry. Put the Acronym "SOJI" in the subject line. This will be a good opportuinity to experience a coastal warfare scenario before the Virgnia Campaigns. Some support impressions allowed. A maximum of 50 per side.

The event commemorates and recreates actions on John's Island just prior to the Battle of Secessionville, from April to June,1862. Registration/Donation is $20.
Limited to 100 participants (50 per side). Specialty impressions allowed on a limited basis if they can be documented in the area during the period interacting with Soldiers.

This event is cancelled. The land was secured and paid for and all other support elements in place, but we only had 8 people interested, which is not enough to go forward. It's going to be hard to organize c/p/h style events for this hobby while we compete with larger and less authentic 150th events that have dominated our calendar. To those that showed interest thanks.
