need a little help.... Olustee federals, I lost a canteen off my saddle during the sunday battle. I forget the maker, but was a good quality with grey cover. The strap was intentionally cut, had a button hole on one end, and (until some time sunday) had a button on the other end. Did anyone pick it up ?

Please e-mail me at csabugler@bellsouth.net if you have it.

There was a canteen found with what appeared to be a broken strap that was carried up and down the Federal Infantry line on Sunday. I wish I could remember which officer had it but you may want to start with James Permaine who can probably get in touch with all the unit commanders out there.

Yeah, Jerry, not a wise choice.
THanks Robert, sounds like it may make its way back to me eventually. I left JP a voicemail msg yesterday a.m.
