"Yaller-hammer, Alabama, flicker, flicker, flicker,"
I felt sorry for the yellow-hammer Alabamians,
they looked so hacked, and answered back
never a word." ~Sam Watkins
God willing and the Creeks don't rise. I plan on being there in 2013! wish they could portray the 41st Alabama (my ancestors unit)! if not still plan on going.

Lee, as I said the other day, I would love to do the 15th Wisconsin. Play our cards right with enough planning we could maybe even get full Chickamauga strength.

"Them fellers out thar you ar goin up against, ain't none of the blue-bellied, white-livered Yanks and sassidge-eatin'forrin' hirelin's you have in Virginny that run atthe snap of a cap - they're Western fellers, an' they'll mighty quick give you a bellyful o' fightin."
In memory of: William Garry Co.H 5th USCC KIA 10/2/64 Saltville VA.
Without a doubt I would love too see some of the 9th Ohio's fighting recreated, 2 charges and a bunch of fighting alongside Pap Thomas on the 2nd day. I'll be there 100% without a doubt.
"As the enemy slackened his fire, Colonel Kammerling, chafing like a wounded tiger that he had been behind at the opening, ordered his men to charge. Away they went, closely followed by the Eighty-seventh Indiana and the Seventeenth Ohio, the enemy falling back precipitately. The Ninth in this charge recaptured the guns of Guenther's battery, Fifth Artillery, and held them."
- Col. Ferdinand Van Derveer, commanding 3rd Brigade, 3rd Division, 14th Army Corps

Thanks Lee. I don't want to miss this one, even if it means missing the Adams County, PA fracas in July.
Is there a website or somewhere a fellow could get some additional information? Nothing urgent, but some of us out here in the west will need to start planning vacations and travel plans.
Thanks in advance,
