Anyone aware of any progressive individuals or units planning to go to the 150th Saylor's Creek next year? I'm exploring some options for a few individuals to form a boat crew, but I'm well aware of the poor impressions there of the past.

Yes Ross, there is some good stuff in the works right now for Saylor's Creek. The impression has been determined and is still in the research and planning stages.

Excellent - looking forward to hearing about it, as I've got a few guys in the wings from parts-all-over wanting to do something. Up for either US or CS

          Ross,

I know there is an effort between the gents who were CS at Bermuda Hundred to recreate battalions of Crutchfield's Brigade. I have not heard anything regarding CS sailors sans ships.

I was in contact with a well know fellow who organizes events out east (he'll remain nameless because I'm not certain he wants to broadcast his plans yet) and I know that he is working on organizing an event with a march for next year for this. I'm not sure if it is an adjunct or a stand alone effort. Are there other events/efforts being planned? I know there is an annual streamer event that takes place there most years.

As someone who does federal cavalry I have wanted to do a solid Appomattox campaign event for as long as I have been in the hobby. If someone is doing something credible, and I know that myself, and a whole bunch of other guys on horses will be there!

            Take care,

A reenactment of the Battle of Sailor's Creek is currently being planned for March 28th, 2015, and will be held on Sailor's Creek Battlefield Historical State Park. A website is in the works. Events following the Battle will take place on March 29th. No other information is available at this time.

There is an Adjunct in the works for Sailor's Creek which will more then deliver on what is expected in this community for events. There are some great plans in the works and great men to implement them. Here is a link to that thread: http://www.authentic-campaigner.com/...fantry-Adjunct

Of course, this thread was about Navy and not Infantry.
