  • Tennessee on the Brink

Who: Hosted by 4th Tennessee and 52nd Tennessee

    What: Tennessee on the Brink

    When: September 7-9, 2018

Where: Davies Manor Plantation, 3570 Davieshire Drive, Bartlett, TN 38133

Why: Tennessee on the Brink attempts to bring to life the atmosphere of Memphis and Shelby County, Tennessee on the eve of the Civil War, circa May 1861. To accomplish this, the outbuildings at Davies Plantation will be converted into dwellings, a tavern, a store/commissary, and a boarding house. Speakers will pontificate throughout the event, with a secession vote taken on Sunday from participants and spectators alike. There will be a small military presence, representing the 154th Tennessee Militia, which period accounts mention in conjunction with secession rallies in the city of Memphis.

    Impression Guidelines: Coming Soon

Preservation: All proceeds will be donated to Davies Manor Plantation.
