13 Aug 18: We've been working with a local land owner near Fort Larned NHS and we received permission to utilize land which lies on part of the original Santa Fe Trail. On Saturday morning of the event, troops will experience what it was like to set out West from the fort and escort wagons on the trail. The escort duty will be a total distance of four miles. Participation in the escort duty is voluntary but presents another unique opportunity to experience a soldier’s life on the Frontier.
