The Labor Day weekend event at Old Bedford Village is coming up quickly. In a nutshell, this event is a fundraiserto help the village continue some critical restoration efforts by their Nails For Preservation program.. We are portraying the 138th PA vol informative that mustered in here in August of 1862. Strict military schedule throughout the weekend, as per the events we did as Mudsills. Several classes offered including: Staying warm at cold events by William Watson, Modern first aid for reenactors by Travis Smith, Period instrument display and more. Civilians will interpret most of the 40 buildings. (No civilian town with white canvas parlors!) Food included for military, cooked by Marc Benedict...great menu in place. Wet plate photographer John Milleker will be on hand. Members of the Camp Chase Fife and Drum and the 73rd Ohio Regimental Band will be providing the 138th field music. Members of the Susquehanna Travellers will be playing throughout the day. Civilians may arrange to take meals in the Public House with Elaine Kessinger. Merchants, the Button Baron & Mac will be in buildings. (No white canvas marketplace). Ted Brennan commanding with James Owens. Surgeon, Andre Wagner.
