MISSIONARY RIDGE - NOVEMBER 7-10, 2019
EVENT HOSTS: Governor Guards & Mess No. 1
IMPRESSIONS: Infantry: Federal - 64th Ohio, Fourth Corps, 2nd Division, 3rd Brigade, commanded by Colonel Alexander McIlvaine - Tyler Underwood. Confederate - 4th Florida Infantry, Breckenridge’s Division, Florida Brigade, commanded by Colonel Edward Badger - Walter Cook. Artillery: Impression TBD.
RAISING COMPANIES:

PARTICIPANTS: The goal is to register 550 participants. To portray the history accurately, we want to have a 5-to-4 Federals to Confederates ratio. This will be a battalion on battalion event.
WHEN: Thursday, November 7 - Sunday, November 10, 2019. On-site activities will begin at 4:00 PM on Thursday. The event will go live on Friday and end Sunday morning.
WHERE: We have secured approximately 600 acres of private land, about six miles south of Chickamauga. Lookout Mountain is visible from portions of the site. Proximity to the original site was one of our criteria so participants can visit the original Missionary Ridge, Lookout Mountain, Chickamauga and all of the other historical amenities in the area.
PRESERVATION: All net proceeds from the event will go toward preservation. More details will be announced at a later date.

Note: Everyone should make every effort to obtain this weapon. Both the 64th and 65th OVI were raised by Sen. John Sherman and his connections ensured that the brigade that bared his namesake (Sherman Brigade) had only the best of everything. British Rifle Muskets will reluctantly be accepted. NO Potsdam’s or other imports.

Event Exclusions: No modern anachronisms! Modern medication will be allowed but MUST be kept in a period container. Each participant WILL be inspected prior to taking the field. Event organizers reserve the right to make adjustments as necessary. Failure to comply with standards may result in being asked to leave the event.
