    "Day Under Fire: Civil War" on National Geographic Channel

    For those interested,

    As few of us here on the A.C. worked on a pilot episode of the "Day Under Fire" series for the National Geographic Channel back in May-June 2007. Wide Awake Films shot the footage and coordinated the re-enactments using the Viper Filmstream High Definition camera for these Kurtis Productions shows.

    The Civil War episode will air Sunday April 27 at 5:00pm EST.

    Follows four Union soldiers into the line of fire as they fight not only the enemy but also raging forest fires and nearly mortal wounds to survive the first day of a bloody campaign in the last year of the Civil War.

      Thanks for the heads-up. Unfortunately I don't get the NG Channel, but it looks really good - especially the HD pictures!

                Just finished watching it 30 minutes ago and can only say WOW.. Bully job to those that participated. Best thing I've seen in awhile. And who says there aint nothing good on? Just wish there were more shows like this on the idiot box!

                        It was refreshing to see a CW documentary with people the right age and weight playing the soldiers. Didn't see any old geezers like myself running around.

                              I have received several emails from fellow Soldiers who asked me if I had seen the show. Several more folks that I work with praised it as well.
