  • 23rd VA Regt. Co.s A-K

    Gentlemen,

The present-day organization of the 23rd VA Vol. Regt. has the honor to collect and record information pertaining to the unit we call home. On average our website has netted 1-2 images of the original soldiers of the unit per year for the last 3 years...(we have more images of 23rd VA men than Mr. Rankin's fantastic regimental history).

As always, we are in search of more newspaper articles, more documentation, more stories, and more images which have a relation to the original unit.

I've heard rumor that Bill Turner's Even More Confederate Faces book has additional images of 23rd VA Regt. soldiers, but do not have a copy...if anyone has a copy of this book, and would be willing to share, please contact.

    23rd VA Regt. Companies:

    Company A: Louisa Rifles
    Company B: Jetersville Greys
    Company C: Amelia Rifles
    Company D: Louisa Greys
    Company E: Brooklyn Greys
    Company F: Goochland Greys
    Company G: Frederick Hall Greys
    Company H: Richmond Sharpshooters
Company I: Prince Edward Central Guard
    Company K: Keysville Guards

    Note: Greys or Grays

If any of the AC Forum's membership/guest have any information (beyond the 23rd VA Regimental History or our website: http://23rdva.netfirms.com/index.html), please kindly pass it along:
