  • The Southern Guard

I was just wondering if the Southern Guard still existed (?). They were one of the premiere units in the 1990s, I used to be an associate member. Have they disappeared completely?

    Just curious,

Oh, they exist--and can still make an old lady think she is young again.

Sang Sweet Caroline to me in a Charleston dive after a hard day's cooking at Fort Moultrie. Of course, the next day I realized that song of my youth was written before they were born

The guys I would've liked to have seen in action during their heyday were the Mudsills...

                  We're here. We're there. We're everywhere.

However, you won't see us "in action." ;)

Greg, thanks for inquiring. If you want to meet up with us in the field for one of the upcoming living history programs, you are most welcome. Send me a PM if interested.
