  • The Bread Oven Works!

Hello Everybody. Some of you probably remember a while ago when I posted with my horror story about a baking oven gone totally wrong: http://www.authentic-campaigner.com/...ad.php?t=17390 Well, I tried it again with a new oven and got great results. Thanks to everyone for their helpful suggestions. You can see my new oven (and the bread) at www.theyoungcampaigner.com.
    Sincerely,

That's awesome, man! The loaf in your right hand looks great and the inside of the other looks even better. Dang.... I want some fresh bread now.

I knew if you followed the directions it would be a success! Congrats on doing a fine job. Your loaf of bread looks just like the ones I baked at Fort Granger. You did a good job making the oven from the pics as well. If you're ever in Tennessee and want to bake, you've got the job. I've got enough bricks still and the metal roof to make a one hole like you did. Again, I'm thrilled to see young guys like you learn a new skill. Well done.

            Excellent!

Good job on the bread, and kudos for experimenting.

                  Re: The Bread Oven Works!

Just want to add my voice to the chorus of praise. Your loaves have a really nice texture -- which means you've mastered kneading! I suspect that after enough of your pards have tasted your bread, you'll have a more challenging task to supply their demands for more bread!

Bully for you lad!!! It's is inspiring to see a young person such as yourself pursue such an interest. Doing the research, seeking out advice, processing the information and putting it into practice will lead to eventual SUCCESS. And how sweet it is when you can share what you've learned with other like-minded individuals who can appreciate the effort if not the actual results ie; the taste and aroma of fresh baked, homemade bread. Bravo! Keep exploring and learning.
