Pards...
Not sure where to put this, so I'll put it in the Sinks...
I'm looking for a quality reproduction of the "Star" hat badge
you see in some of the pre or early war photos of Werstern
troops and or Missouri Partisans. the hat badge I'm speaking
of is shown on the hats of Bill Anderson, an officer from Texas
as well as a couple of soldiers from Mississippi.
the badge is rather large, and does not appear to be the smaller
brass "Texas" that you see for sale on suttler row for a couple
of bucks. Anyone have any ideas as to what these badges
are made from...brass, tin, leather or bullion embroidery?
Also I'm looking for contact info for someone that makes them.
I looked thru the vendors, but didn't see anything like that available.
this is what I'm talking about
Suggestions anyone?
Thanks
Jeff P.
