First the Piggly Wiggly goes in my neighborhood, then Winn Dixie starts pulling stores out, and now this. Tis another sad day indeed. Looks like I'm going to have to buy my biscuits ready-made at Hardee's.

At least I will no longer have the occasion to be closely questioned by TSA for having large sacks of White Lily Flour and stone ground hominey in my luggage when I go visit my old college friend who lives in Minnesota. Her children are gonna cry because they are hongry though.....

When I visisted my relatives or friends in the South I always was so happy to have biscuits made with White Lily Flour....the best I have ever eaten.

A sad day indeed for this famous Southern Stable...:(

I live in Tifton, Ga, where they make the flour and the buildings are still really busy so I don't know what's happening.

Re: White Lily Flour - Another Southern Tradition Bites the Dust

It is sad to hear about such a good Southern company leaving Dixie. Industry has never been much of our forte and never should have been. At least according to Sen. Louis T. Wigfall of Texas. However, this particular product seems to be as popular as Oklahoma's "Shawnee Mills Cornbread". Whats next Dixie Cups and Dixie Crystals? Old South Pickled Okra, etc...

                Thanks,
