        that last photo he looked as if he was looking right into you!!! wow that was wierd, nice pictures but I prefer the 1860's photos of him.

          Wow. They go to all that work to come up with as realistic a rendering of Lincoln as possible...and then they blow it by putting a 1910's-era Aladdin kerosene lamp on the table next to him. Ah, the Devil is in the details!

            These photos remind me of the Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum in Springfield, Ill. Among the many Lincoln-related displays, they have startlingly realistic wax figures of Lincoln, his family, associates, and other notables from that era placed in life-sized dioramas depicting his life and administration. In some of the displays, you can stand right next to and among the figures, and the effect is almost spooky. Their hair, eyes, and skin are so realistic you almost expect them to speak. In the pictures we took during our visit, it looks like we're standing next to real, live people, very much like these photos.
