    Can someone guide me to where I might find a correct period plaster recipe? We are going to replaster a privy (6-holer by the way) built in 1860.

    Found this site for you which explains about Gypsum Plaster and its use in the 19th century and prior..hope this helps

      Keep in mind even in outbuildings multiple plasters layers may exist just like in ye old big house.
