Re: Would you sell or not?

I'll keep what gear I accumulate until no longer able to use it. I'll see if my nephew has any interest in any of it, and at that point, I'll give it to my mess-mates for use as loaners, if they have room to keep it.

I'd like the gear to stay active, even if not worn by me.

Don't ever get rid of a good dog, a fine gun, an old guitar or your n'acting gear.

Pret near everything else can be easily replaced.

I would say just keep your gear and hang on to it. Sure i mean we all get a little burned out after a long event of politics, weather, etc and we go home and threaten to quit. But, then we hear of the next event and we throw our gear back in the car and head off to it. I would say just to keep it, if you think you are burnt out, just set it aside and relax, find someone to calm you down about it and then come back around to your senses to see if its what you want to do or not, i know, my fiance` helped me out with that one. Plus, who knows when you may have a buddy who has never reenacted before say to you, "i would like to try reenacting, but i don't have any gear". That gives you the oppurtunity to say, well i have this jacket, these trousers, etc. that you can borrow.

I would just keep the stuff, if you never wear it again then you have it to remind you of the good times, and plus the moth's need something to feed on anyways.
