    Re: Mb&s

Hey pard, to me it seems like they are one of those companys that are on time the first order, the next order they take forever to ship. I ordered a bayonet scabbard and it took nearly three months to recieve. Then i ordered a knapsack and got it within two weeks. I guess it is kinda like a hit and miss thing, sometimes they are timely, others they aren't.

I find it interesting that some folks on the forum think a three month wait for an item is a long wait. Just out of curiosity I would like to hear what folks consider a "Long Wait" for an item they ordered. Now I'm not talking about the "in stock" item that ships immediately. I'm talking about the item that needs to be made from scratch.
Also, lets not forget about those custom, one of a kind order. These can take some time to produce as we all know.

        Ken,

I really don't consider three months a long time to wait for an article of gear, clothing, etc, i was just stating the amount of time that it took to recieve an item. Quality items take time to produce, most people take for granted the amount of time that it takes to make, for example a pair of pants, jacket, etc, i know i have put the time into making my own items from scratch.

The only time i get aggravated when a product doesn't come in is when i have ordered the product and the vendor assures me the item will go out the next day. A month goes by, you call the vendor and he says "ah heck man, i didn't send it out, i will tomorrow." Another month goes by and i call the vendor and the same thing happens again. Then it goes to being upset due to dishonesty from a vendor, not because of the amount of time it takes.

They are building a new house .There is sure to be a good reason ....just call them and talk to Bob or Beth. They are great folks and I am here to tell you that it's worth the wait.being a vendor myself it gets a little crazy at times keeping up though I have not been at it long I have had a few close calls myself.I am not saying that the house is why but it's a good chance.

For the most part,I always have good dealings with them.I have ordered a scabbard, haversack, and knapsack from them and always get them in reasonable time.So just give it a little time.As people have stated it's:A)not the first yet and B)they could have some orders ahead of you.
Remember, with major events coming up,they will have a lot of orders to fill.So just have a little patients. It is a virtue.

I ordered some leather gear and a haversack from them this summer. They were great about getting the gear to me in time for At High Tide. The leather gear is beautiful, but the haversack's paint peeled off during the event. I wrote to Robert who wanted me to send me the haversack back to investigate and promised to send me a new one. It's only been about 3-4 weeks, so I'm not too worried that I won't get it. Overall, I've been very impressed with the quality and the personal service.

I finally, FINALLY heard from them. However, the accouterments have still not arrived by the promised date. I'm sure they will be worth the wait once I get them but unfortunatley the living history I wanted to wear them for will be gone. OH well.. I'm sure they will be worth the wait.

                  Re: Mb&s

I have waited 6 and 8 months for gear. That is not the issue. When I contacted them about this gear they told me that yes they could deliver it by a certain date. They did not. The could have just said no and I would have been fine with that. Anyway, I'm not impatient. Just wanted to get it by the time they promised it.
