  • Update on Tom Nall of Cotton City Tailors

I played phone tag with Becky earlier this week, but the voice mail I got was that Tom is doing well after his kidney transplant Monday (Sept 15). He's recovering well from the surgery itself and the kidney seems to be kicking in and doing what it's supposed to do. Please continue to keep these "best of the best" tailors in your thoughts and prayers, they'd appreciate it.

    Yay Hooray!!!

Its so wonderful to know this has finally happened, and our continued prayers will be with Tom.

Last Saturday, I sat in the stands of Bryant-Denny Stadium, on the University of Alabama Campus, beside the same man I've sat with for the last 21 years. No, not my husband, though he was also there, but a man once a stranger, and now a friend, after all these many years. We've raised children, buried parents, divorced and remarried, and solved the problems of the world in between football plays. And in later years, I felt the shunt in his arm as a once strong man began kidney dialysis at the age of 48.

And last Saturday, we raised a sparkling cold glass of water in toast to the two year anniversary of his kidney transplant, and to the generosity of the donor. May Tom's transplant be as sucessful.

Tere it's sooo odd to read your story, Tom's transplant came about as a result of his and Becky's season ticket holder neighbor's, of can't rememober the name, university in Mobile. Baseball ticket holders that is. Their ticket holder neighbors became good friends, and she became his match and donor. I said a special prayer for the friend and that her crowns be multiplied. Way cool hunh ?
