  • Lost at Hope's Campaign

In case anyone came across these at or after the Hope's Campaign event this weekend I post this.
I lost a black roller buckle belt next to or in the port-a-john on Friday night. In fact I know it was in the port-o-john because i hung it up in there while using the facility.

On Saturday my scabbard ripped off and was lost along with the bayonet that was in it. I believe this came off in the vicinity of the pioneer camp where that small grove of pine trees was situated.

Also, please contact Jason Spellman aka Shockhoe Hill Cats, if anyone found a rubberized groundcloth at the event site.
If anyone came across these items please give me a shout.

    Gregory,

This is probably not what you want to hear, but my pioneer buddies and I packed up our camp Saturday afternoon and I do not think we came across any lost gear right around our camp...we did a quick sweep of the area and didn't find anything. But then again, we weren't looking for it so it could still be in that area. I am sure the organizers will do a check if you mention it to them.

Yeah, if anyone picked up a painted ground cloth let me know (the consequence of running around the woods as a currier). No gromets, no maker's stamp or marks, the white canvas pretty hardc0re-looking (aka dirty as Hell), and no machine stitching. It was folded vertically so I could draped it between my haversack straps too.

I believe I lost it in the woods just before that "Little Round Top"-type hill, the steep one before the meadow and where we took prisoners.

Eric Wilson also has found another ground cloth, in addition to some other gear he found Sunday. He is skamikaze on the CWRF.

      Thanks,
