Wow, $687.77 for a Bannerman surplus knapsack!?! Am I behind the times! It doesn't seem all that long ago that I was amazed when I saw one for $45. I know the days when we used to get them just to scavenge the buckles and straps for other things is long gone, but still I never thought I'd see the day......

Yeah, I saw that too. I think the last two bidders went a little nuts on it; I'm no expert on the value of the things but I don't think I ever saw one at a show with an asking price of THAT much

Sold one about 5 years ago for $75.00. It was in almost as good as condition as that one. Should have put it on e-bay.Jim Mayo
