  • Man, 19, accused of desecrating Civil War corpse...

Whether this is considered old news or not, it is something worthy of mention; an act like this is about as nauseating a desecration as one can imagine.

"David L. Smith, president of the Civil War Round Table of Greater Boston, said crypt vandalism is becoming more common. The historical society is lobbying the state to strengthen laws involving vandalism of grave sites." - Cristina Silva, Globe Correspondent

That was from 3 years ago. I would love to know what actually happened to this guy. He was on probation so maybe he got some jail time.

The interesting thing is that the crypt occupants had died of TB. Wouldn't that be a twist of fate if this moron got TB from screwing around with the bones? Now THAT would be justice!

Across the Ohio we could see “Old Indiana.” This made the boys home sick. How they did want to cross the river into “God's Country.” James B. Shaw, 10th Indiana Inf.

You know, some people are just a waste of oxygen. I work for a fire department. In addition to protecting the city that I work for, we occasionally respond to emergencies that happen in a prison near my station. When a person takes a look around inside those barbed wired fences and sees the population that occupies that area, and they way they are acting, there is no doubt that a portion of our society does not possess the ability to function properly.

Ok, ok. Maybe I’ve had too much coffee this morning. That is not what AC forum is for.

What to do: I think that a note to our elected officials about this type of behavior may help in reducing it. If one chooses, a simple search on the web will show who is in charge in your area and how to contact them. Believe it or not, some of our elected officials do listen to what their constituents say.

      I hope this helps,

I remember reading about this a couple of years ago, I think this guy got a slap on the wrist. What a miserable lousy thing to do.
