hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha thanks for that! Reminds me of a time....I was doing a living history at the museum with my pards and about 25 yanks.....we were setting around the camp fire discussing the home front...when all of a sudden a white car pulls up next to us...my wife gets out and tells us that she's pregnate! So, I get in the car and her and I go to walmart to get another test to make sure...and you should of seen the looks....my girly-girl wife (love her heart) dressed in jeans and pink sweater...me wearing an ANV uniform complete with slouch hat!

The same for me on an CW event in Germany, we had no water on the camp and we had gone to 5 also in ANV to buy some water in a small market of a small German village with my Old Volvo 740, the head of people in the store :) :) :)

            Luke,

Be glad she didn't show up to the event in an ANV outfit too saying I am pregnant.

This looks like it will be an hilarious gem of a film. Will look for it on DVD if it isn't released in US theaters.

My husband and I caused quite a stir in TGI Fridays Last Sunday evening when we arrived in our Harper's Ferry 1864 Christmas civilian wear. The wait staff gathered to see how I'd manage to sit at table wearing my cage! We've never had such fine service!

HAHAHAAAAAAAAAAAAA!Too funny.Yeah,I have seen Luke's son's ANV cap and it looks pretty good.Luke made it himself, too.I had to an interiew for our school news one Friday in my Federal Uniform and I had an event that weekend.I kept it in through the last class of the day because I was going to the event right after school.I got some strange looks. And just my luck,we ended up having a fire drill in that class!

Klingon, the new language of romance! I walked into a walgreens for some motrin after an event. I did not realize how funny looking or smelling we were until I noticed the look on the clerk's face when I went up to the counter.:sarcastic
Good stuff, I'll be looking out for this one.

Yep, always good for a comment/laugh when you stop in 7/11, Wally World, Cracker Barrel on the way home from an event and haven't changed into your "real" clothes.

I once saw a volunteer firefighter at an accident seen wearing a grey forage cap with the rest of his turn out gear.

Too funny...saw a couple of prominent British actors in there too. I love getting strange looks from people on my way home from events!!!

As one who has done that time period (for 15 years). I can so relate to the openiing os so well. I have seen it happen many times. Even to myself once at a living history site. As I was explaining weapons to a group of Boy Scouts, my cell rang ( I was the event co ordinator) and the kids would not let me live it down. As far as the bit about the funeral. Last year when one of the groups "king" passed away. 80% of those attending where in period garb. To include armoured knights. And no I was not one of them. The movie looks too funny for it's own good. I have to get a copy.
                              Thanks for the morning laugh!
