    This great letter is from a g-g grandfather of my good buddy and fellow minstrel-style banjoist Tim Twiss.

    The introductory tune is the "Union Jig" from Buckley's Guide for the Banjo, authentically played on a super-accurate repro banjo.

    The letter is very moving, I think, especially in light of the fact that the author later perished in Andersonville.
