"The Campaigns of Lieut.-Gen. N.B. Forrest and of Forrest's Cavalry" by General Thomas Jordan and J.P. Pryor is good. It is available through Morningside Press.

I just bought this book and can be purchased through the Eastern National Parks bookstore. I got mine at Shiloh in Oct 2008. Lightning Warfare: Forrest's First West Tennessee Campaign, December 1862 by Lonnie E Maness, PH.D., publised bt Main Street Publishing, Jackson, TN. Copyright April 2007. Printed and bound by Vaughan Printing, Nashville, TN. It is hardbound and 224 pages. Hope this helps. $22.00.
