Didnt know where to post this so, i'll try here.
The Central Illinois Living Historians (CILH) and WH Sommer Park (Peoria Park District) put on a Civil War Winter Quarters event in November 2008.
We built 2 period cabins for the event and had a turnout of about 80 visitors. Not too bad considering the chilly conditions.
I want to put some pics up to see what you guys think. Maybe drum up some more interest in participating in the future. We're still planning the future of the event here at the park to see if it will grow or stay relatively small.
