  • Camp Floyd Pipes? - Still Around?

Does anyone know if Camp Floyd Pipes in Utah are still around or in business? I saw a review of their pipes in an old copy of "The Watchdog" (Vol.2 No.3) Summer 1994.

    Scott,

I tried to contact them several years ago by mail and phone, but rec'ved no response. I chalked it up to one of those short run/small project type of endeavors. Too bad, the pipe they offered loooked pretty good.

To hijack this thread a bit, does anyone have a recommendation as to where one might procure a good pipe?

          Thank You John!
That's a shame really...I liked the sound of them - especially the green glazed one.

          Bob,
Crabby at Ezra Barnhouse...has good clays and is an Approved Vendor, and a very good chap to deal with. I heartily recommend him.

I'm a closet collector of period pipes and own several that are pre-1900. The sites I listed below are all pretty good and I have had good experiance from each over the last 6-8 years, though period pipes come and go from a couple of them. Of them all Mr Ubben is likely my favorite. Also it is well worth doing the research to see what a period pipe looked like and visiting your local antique shops, I've been amazed at what I've found for people over the years.
