Has anybody else tried fitting an original / authentic reproduction lock plate to their Miroku 1861?

The lower barrel band is very loose and wobbly. Is there a way to tighten this up?

Barrel band too loose? I would apply Acraglass (from Brownell's) to the inside of the band and then file it (the acraglass) down to fit the stock.
