If any of you were federals at the 1st Red River way back when.. I have a picture you may want. Now, it has my children in it, but its a picture of something that gave y'all a surprise on sunday evening as you were camped on the banks of the Cane River in Natchitoches. Remember the 'ironclad' that came up the river and fired on y'all? Well I was a crew member on that ship ( which one of you threw the potatoe through the gunport and hit me in the mouth? LOL )
Anyway I started a scanning project this weekend of all reenacting photos I have from 1992 to present and came across this picture of the 'CSS Mittie Stevens".. A converted Cane River Tour boat.
speaking of all those old pictures.. geez did I look bad in 1992-1993. Then in 1994 I began assembling an authentic kit. The transformation over a six month period was amazing.
