  • Missouri Boot and Shoe

    Gents,

I was wondering if anyone knew what the usual delivery time is for Missouri Boot and Shoe. I placed an order about 1 1/2 to 2 months ago and haven't heard any confirmation. I tried calling several times over the course of a couple days, but all I got was a busy signal, could there be an e-mail adress I overlooked? Any imput would be helpful, thanks.

    Respectfully,

    Re: Missouri Boot and Shoe

Good Sir.....my wife (I myself can't take the credit) ordered me a set of boots about two months ago as a present. Things take a tad over 2 months to get to the customer. When Mo B&S ships, they send an e-mail through the USPS to you, letting you know the package is on its way.

I got my e-mail from the post office yesterday letting me know my boots were en route.

My bride said they were a bit hard to reach by phone, but that is often the result of their being out making items for the customer.

Don't know if that helps, but I'd stick to the 2 month wait rule for these friendly folks.

Thanks for the response, the wait time dosen't matter to me I was more concerned about not being able to reach them. Thanks for your input

Anyone who has delt with Mr. Serio will tell you when you do get him on the phone expect a long conversation. Bob is a great guy and loves to talk to his customers. This usually causes the lines to be tied up. The wait for his products can be anywhere from one to six months based on my exprience but his shoes are worth it. You might want to check his website for an email contact. His website is: http://www.missouribootandshoe.com/index.asp

          Re: Missouri Boot and Shoe

          Greetings,

I will second what Tripp said about dealing with Bob Serio. In fact, I will take that a step further. One time I called and got into a conversation with Mrs. Serio, who gave me some very good tips on the care and preservation of the shoes I bought.

By the way, MB&S brogans are well worth the wait, as are Bob's leather goods. On a side note, I heard a rumor once that there may be a slight problem with the area that Bob lives in, with the phone exchanges, and that is why you may get constant busy signals at times.

Keep trying, you'll get through. Hope this helps.

His area of MO still has pre WWII phone lines. Just keep trying.

I recently ordered a pair of JB2's from them. I asked that they call or e-mail upon receipt of my order. They called on 1/15 and said their orders were taking between 4 and 6 weeks so, hang in there (as I am :)).

Like Shepherd said, the phone lines are very old, when there is snow or bad weather the phone goes out.

                  Re: Missouri Boot and Shoe

After my previous post (see above) my boots arrived today. What a set!

Anyway.....Patrick Hilt.......not only did I get some more contact info for you but also, a bit of additional info to pass on.

                  1. I called 417-451-6100 and after four rings, got Mrs. Serio (no problem getting through.) I called to let her know that I got my product just fine (something I like to do, to give everybody a sense of closure regarding delivery.).

                  2. She gave me all sorts of tips on how to break-in and take care of my boots. (Though I must admit that anybody who has any time in the armed forces is likely to already know a few tricks of the trade...which she agreed upon.)

                  3. MO B&S will be putting some updates on their website in the coming month so keep an eye out (per Mrs. Serio.)

                  4. She mentioned that customers should KEEP THEIR SIZE CODES (located on the invoice) because they don't maintain records on customers and it speeds up processing (no need to keep tracing your foot out for custom orders....unless you have a foot injury of course.)

I hope that these tidbits are interesting and/or helpful where appropriate.

                  Regards,

                    Re: Missouri Boot and Shoe

I recently received a double bag knapsack from them. When I called to check stock back in December, I tried them early in the morning right around when they open and I was able to get right through to check stock.

The person I spoke with let me know projected lead time and I waited about the 6 - 8 weeks and then tried again. Calling just around opening hours and was able to get through and found out that the pack was ready but waiting on the wooden frame.

So it is a matter of timing.
