Pretty much the entire state has been swept by a line of storms.

Two hours after the storms swept through, and as of yet, less than a dozen injuries reported. No fatalities. Numerous tree's down, I-24 closed at I-840 due to debris. At least ten houses reported destroyed, with a number of others damaged.

Many tree's near the Stones River National Battlefield are reported to be down.

More info becoming available now. Sadly, there are now reports of fatalities. Only two at this time. Rescue crews are going street by street, house by house in the damaged areas, looking for injured.... or worse. Aerial video shows a swath of destruction about 200 yards wide, and what is estimated to be about 8 miles long. Far more than the previously reported 10 houses have been destroyed. The County has reported 36 houses destroyed, many more damaged. I have no doubt that this number will rise as they compile the information that is coming in.

TWC is saying part of this line of storms may possibly hit the Atlanta area now? Let's hope it's over soon and everybody is OK.

It just finished blasting thru here (Chattanooga), with lots of minor damage. The news said a small twister hit right down the road, I don't know if that's true though . Thank goodness for the mountains. My heart goes out to those in the middle of the state.

It was pretty rough at Chickamauga, we had a tree fall on a truck, no injuries thank goodness. Lots of trees down though.

Spring time, and particularly Easter seems to bring out the twisters. We got hit here in Shreveport on Thursday night. I have no knowlege of any fatalities here but LOTS of damage. We had some train cars rolled off the track on thier sides right here by the KCS train yard, by straight line winds I suppose. In all, we are very lucky. My heart goes out to those of you in middle TN and northern GA that got whacked so much worse than we did.
