A Regimental or a Primary account? I hear tell there is going to be a good one out next month, a set of letters from an officer in the 10th South Carolina.

Well truth be told unless Mississippi or Alabama regimentals catch your fancy then they aren't going to thrill you. Bloody banners covers the 27th Alabama, Going to meet the Yankees covers the bloody sixth Mississippi and way down south covers the 3rd Ms

Like Pat said, "Going to meet the Yankees" by Grady Howell. The History of the 6th Mississippi Infantry. Good history book.

                        Re: Johnny Regimental Histories.

"The Stilwell Letters" is a good book. William Stilwell was a member of the 53rd Georgia Regiment in the ANV. He served from the Seven Days to Petersburg. As he was in Longstreet's Corps he also saw action at Chickamauga and in Tennessee. I found it a very good read. I've gone through it 3 times to date.
As the title implies, it is mostly his correspondence with his wife in McDonough, Georgia.
