Still cooking right along under new management of fellow reenactors, Justin Runyon and Jason Adams.

Is there a listing of newsstands where I can find it? My local source apparently gave up a while back. Maybe while ownership was changing hands?

We probably need to get Justin or Jason in here to answer questions but if memory serves me, they took it off newstands and went to a 100% subscription-based distribution.

We are subscribers of CWH since vol 1 # 1, and haven't missed an issue. I think it works best as a quarterly, and maintain the high quality/strong content approach. Civil War Historian has a good deal going on now for subscription renewals, 2 years for $38, and if you donate $2 to CWPT they will match it. I sent my renewal in today.

Nothing against former editor Nicky Hughes or Ertel, but I think the Runyon/Adams CWH is stronger cover to cover than at any time in the past.

A note to echo the sentiment about the changes at the Camp Chase. I too have had several of my articles "mis-handled" over the years such that I vowed "never again". However, when Connie approached me at the Nashville CW show last December humbly explaining the changes and new approach I was glad to reconsider. Since then they have published three articles of mine without a problem. I have found Connie Payne to be very professional, honest, attentive to detail and true to her word. Her efforts there are very refreshing. Obviously, as a business move they want to target the AC folks. Maybe one result will be a better educated constituency.
In fact, she is publishing a new article of mine (with lots of documentation) in the AC section of the July issue that is subject to stir up the multiple pistol (and cylinder), excessive accoutered, saber fighting, mainstream cavalry crowd.

Phil, I don't doubt your talents will enhance CCG, and at the same time this side of the hobby. I'am looking forward to your next piece.
