  • The 5 year Mark

This is irrelevant and I am not looking for any praise or anything, but I just realized that this August, I will have been a member of the AC for 5 years. How time flies.

I am not much of a poster, but I have really enjoyed reading these forums and Id like to give a big thanks to everyone who has ever posted here because you really learn a lot from every post.

Since his dad is a lawyer, jaded and crankey should be coming naturally to Hampton in a few years!

If someone should be crankey around 5 years, what about those of us who remember the early days of the site (1998 time frame)?

          Hallo!

I think cranky comes at six years, jaded at eight or ten, and burned out at 15, curmudgeony at 20 plus.

(But then the AC Forum resurrects itself every so many years and starts over.)

So what happens when we hit 25 years in?

On that note, looks like the 150th of Gettysburg will be Hucks last event, Since I will hit my 25th year at that event, (1988 I got into this hobby about week after the 125th Gettysburg). But what would I do with all my stuff and it has grown about 15% since the last time you were over to my house Mitch.

                    Huck,
By my PROFESSIONAL estimation, you will need 4 52' semi trailers to move that stuff to g'burg. I think we park them all on the battlefield and just walk away. Kind of like returning everything to it's natural state...

The big question is after 5 years are you one of "Us"?
