      Re: Happy Fourth of July

Spent the afternoon with my girl Amy just south of Florence, Italy. We visited the grave of my great-uncle; Sergeant Fred C. Lively / 845th Combat Eng Avn Bn. I am proud to be the first member of my family to visit him since he passed on 20 May 1945. Ciao!

John, thanks for the goosebumps. I'm curious about how Sgt. Lively died, a couple of weeks after the shooting "officially" stopped in Europe. Had he been previously wounded?
