Re: what is wrong with people

Shirts are meant to get sweaty!

If it's the absolute best dress shirt I have ever made AND being borrowed by someone, it's meant to be stolen from a bush while drying in the middle of the night, used as a pillow, and then subsequently burned up to the shoulders. But that "didn't happen" did it? DID IT?!?! You know who you are!!!! You also denied taking our blankets during a 20-something degree night while you were still freakin' wrapped up in them, you weiner! :D

True story, it happened at Payne's Farm! I was so mad that I disgustedly tossed the shirt into the fire and John Cleveland grabbed it, chided me, and talked me into replacing the sleeves. When I moved last month I was going through my fabric heap and found it at the bottom of the stack. I never did replace the sleeves and may not....but instead keep it as a memento of great friendship and penultimate jackassery!

As for the lack of blankets...our 1st sergeant gave us his and sat up all night keeping the fire stoked, shivering his skinny butt off. Best hobby in the world!

You just got to be aware of those that aren't.
Sounds like the kind of folks one would hope to always be able to deal with.

Re: what is wrong with people

Mr. Wilson, Mr. Gane, and others,
Thanks for posting this about Eric. I was in line to buy a Duvall federal two rivet scabbard and would most likely have been ripped off if it wasn't for the warning posted not only here but on the "other" forum.

Mr. Gane was dead on with the names as I was contacted via e-mail and got one from both Mr. Wisbeth, and Michael G as was on the e-mail handle. After Mr. Gane's post I decided to back out of the deal as I did not want to lose my hard earned dough.

I want to thank Mr. Wilson for alerting us of this situation and Mr. Gane for filling in the detail so that I did not get ripped off in the process.

BTW did Eric happen to be an NCO with the 22nd Virginia (mainstream) at any point. I'm thinking that I might know him.

        Thanks so much,
        Andrew Schultz
