Looking for a quotation

I'm looking for a quote and citation that contained the phrase "...is it not as it was in the old days", I believe by Chamberlain.

All my books are packed away right now and I need the quotation and source for a piece I'm working on. Any help would be appreciated as I'm working on a deadline.

Incredibly, this sounds exactly like a reenactment. If only Sgt Benson knew.

My favourite variation on this sentiment originated from the administration of Andrew Jackson, I believe: "Times ain't now like they used to was".
