Mr. Kaelin Vernon, now the esteemed director of the site, should be along directly to point you in the right direction.

Thank you pat, have you been to this or has anyone? Just trying to gage the event, can you stay there overnight? Well I will get ahold of Herr Director and ask him about it.

            Thomas,
Check out my profile pictures on Election 1860! and you can see some shots from a few weeks back. Anyone who wants to head to the site should do so, the South Union Guards put on a nice muster!

Re: South Union event, sounds delicious, anyone going?

              Thomas and all..
The impression department is pretty general for civilian 1860, I am working more from the selling this event to the public not reenactors. If anyone has questions concerning this event and plans to attend as living historian please contact me soon.
The theme is the Election of 1860, we will have representitives for each of the 4 candidates who ran in the race for presidency in 1860. They will be giving speeches from the balcony, the voting process with ballots and original ballot box. We had a blast at the mock election in August. It was just a trial run. Unlike the last event this is only a half a day on the 7th of November.

Not sure where it says "FREE" but this is false advertisement. Once upon a time there was a skeleton crew of living historians who were paid in food for the demonstrations but due to our growth we can no longer afford to feed 20-25 folks on top 40 customers. If by chance there is some food left over you can be sure it will go to those who have helped.

Again feel free to ask any questions..pm, email, phone, letter.
