  • 19th Indiana Inf. (Iron Brigade) flags?

Looking for images of 19th Indiana National and Regimental flags photos/paintings/drawings etc. that were used in '62, particularly at Brawner Farm.

I have Howard M. Madaus' The Flags of the Iron Brigade, but only shows a "presentation" flag .

I tried contacting a reenactment group but no reply. Also tried googleling and came up with nothing.

Any help will be much appreciated.:)

Contact the Indiana War Memorial folks in Indianapolis for information and photos.

Current inventory shows that 1 regimental and three national flags ID'd to the 19th IVI are in its holdings. If all else fails, shoot me a note.

Hey Steve, I havn't done anything since 140th Antietam! I miss it, but all the old pards are MIA. Ezra and "Uncle Roy" Adkins have dropped off the face of the earth. J.P. Finch is some big wig museum director somewhere. I ran into Will Eichler at the Jackson event last year and by mistake he called me Babcock! Oh, that hurt! Well, thats what you get when your gone for so long people don't recognize you.

I'll stick to my first love. http://jaywhitsminiatures.blogspot.com/
Scroll to the bottom and you'll find some pics of the glory days. Someday I'll break out the Antietam film shoot pics.

BTW, I'm sure some would rather forget this character, but if anyone knows whatever happened to Jay Babcock, I'm curious to know. PM me if you like.

          Good to hear from you.

Some photos of the 19th Indiana Colors as carried by the ACWS

I suspect some artistic license has been taken with this side as the gentleman cutting wood looks a lot like one of our officers. Here it's seen next to the 118th Pennsylvania colors and behind 69th New York...

If you want to know more I shall ask people who might know at the next event.
