Interested in finding documentation on the cone pick that was issued with the model 1850 "shield front" cap pouch.
Does anyone know if the cone pick specifications changed when later in the war the Union went to the what we refer to as the "Late-war" cap pouch.
I am most interested in finding out the type of metal that was stipulated in the contracts, also want to know the finish on the metal when shipped.
Would very much to read anything regarding the manufacturing process, numbers produced, and specific contracts.
Lastly, who were the primary contractors involved.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
