All tin-types on the site were taken by William Dunniway or Wayne Pierce, both Collodion photographers on the west coast. The picture on the front page was done by Mr. Dunniway. You can see his website at: http://www.collodion-artist.com/

          Thanks for all the praise.

We aren't currently doing an Orphan Brigade impression...unless there is another Orphan Brigade besides the one from Kentucky. What on our site gave you the impression that we are currently portraying them?

You are wearing a Weller overcoat in one of your photos. The Weller pattern coats were bought out of pocket by Maj. James Hewitt for the 2nd Kentucky around the time of Ft Donelson.

                      Patrick-

I saw that on your vendors list you listed Orchard Hill Sutlery. After perusing their site, I found a few things that were of interest to me. In general, what is your honest opinion of their products, especially of thier civilian shirts? I have been on a quest of sorts to find an authentic shirt and I think I might have finally found one.

                              Bob,
Sorry it took me so long to get back to you. I must have missed your post. As for the Weller Overcoat picture on our site, we were portraying "generic western confederates" at that event...and we didnt even participate because some of us were sick and/or recovering from surgeries. I definitely understand where you would get confused.

As a unit, we do not portray the Orphan Brigade. However, we are working on a Western Confederate impression for 1864. Thanks for the post, Bob. I hope to see you soon. Drop me an e-mail sometime at captainucsb@hotmail.com.
