    Folks,
with Christmas coming up,I am starting to come up with my list.I am interesed in getting some books on taverns/tavern culture/tavern live in the early to mid 19th Cent.If anyone knows any books about such subjects, please let me know.I do have "The Story the Soldiers Wouldn't Tell",so I don't need that.Of course,if the books could be bought at either Amazon,Barnes and Nobles,Borders,or Books-a-Million,that would be even better.

    Thanks for your help.

(Mods,if this is in the wrong catagory, please move to the right one)

Here is a book about my favorite Ale House. It is the oldest continuously running Ale house in New York City. Opening in 1854 McSorley's was and is still to this day a fantastic working mans Saloon. Many a generation of Soldiers, Firefighters, Police Officers etc. have put back a few pints here.
