Unidentified Enfield

I recently stumbled across an Enfield musket (collecting dust in a family basement) whose markings don't seem to fit those I've been able to locate in my research. It appears to be a two-band Enfield or muskatoon, with a .69 calibre barrel. The stock had been cut down (apparently, some time ago) to just below where the first band would have been. Although the markings on the barrel are largely indecipherable, the lock is in perfect working order and is stamped "Tower 1863." On the reverse side, the stock is stamped "S.A." in a rectangular box with rounded ends. Also, under the trigger guard, the stock is stamped "S. Deeley."

Any thoughts regarding the possible provenane of this gun?
